Title: Works with "get sigs", but not in test
Post by: AES Wind on November 22, 2011, 09:42:47 AM
Hey!  Howdy!

Curtis. . . . ?  Running a test, go to the troublesheet, have opens.   Commence debug, right-click, select "get sig," and SHAZAM!  Signature.

Sooooooooooo.  What am I doing (or not), that is causing my prober to not get signatures during the test (quite a few components) yet get'em just fine during debug right-clicking?

Oh!  And how are ya?  How's life in the big city?

Thanks!

Hey there!
Life in the big city? Pretty good. How are things in America's heartland?

Assuming that probe placement is perfect (which I am sure it is)...

My first thought is that the PCB may be bouncing slightly. Make sure it is well supported from underneath.
It could also be a probe tip that is wearing out.
Is Opens Recheck enabled (Tree pane/Components tab)? If yes then maybe setting it to 48 mils may help.
I will add more if I think of anything else.
Thanks.
