General Discussion / Re: New Admin Introduction

Hi JB
Best wishes on your new job replacing Curtis.
I'm hoping when you have familiarised yourself with all of the Huntron equipment you might be able to assist with getting my Keysight E4980AL LCR Meter working with Workstation 4.3 on my Huntron ProTrack + Scanner setup.
My Keysight 34410A works fine on this setup.
But the E4980AL only gives "Overload" in this configuration.
Alright not using these two pieces of test equipment in the Huntron prescribed manner.
I'm connecting the Keysight DMM to the BNC connector output on the Scanner.
And this setup makes good measurements with Workstation 4.3 in this setup.
But as said the LCR Meter just indicates over load on a very simply test of five 47 K Ohm resistors with one connected to COM and the other through the Scanner to the output . If I connect the DMM to the Scanner output the meter reads the five Resistor values correctly but only get "Overload" with the LCR Meter connected here.

Keysight are not being very helpful on this.
I know you will probably want to move this to "Out of production Hardware".

General Discussion / Curtis is retiring!
Last post by admin - December 17, 2024, 12:21:11 PM
Hello everyone,
After 33.5 years of working for Huntron I am hanging up my Technical Support hat and moving on into retirement. It has been a pleasure to work with the many Huntron customers and users over the years. Huntron is a great company and I know our reputation for exceptional customer service will always be a priority.

Admin duties on this forum will be handled mostly by the new Tech Support guru, JB Short. Go easy on him!  ;D

I may poke around here from time to time under the user name CW Smith and offer up what knowledge I may still retain.

Cheers and perhaps we will meet in the future at a beach or pub near you!
All the best,

Curtis Smith (Huntronian - Retired)

I think this is pretty useful if you do a lot of hand probing with Huntron Workstation. It would let you work the buttons at the bottom of the window when your hands are busy holding the probes (see image).
