Title: Huntron Tracker 5100DS
Post by: David S. on October 20, 2010, 10:23:38 AM
I recently puchased this on ebay to start testing discrete SMT components with on boards.  I know it hooks up to a computer, but is that required?  It seems the unit stays on the middle setting and there is no way to change that setting I take it this needs to be done through software?  This is my first huntron and I do understand the concept - which is pretty interesting for testing transistors and such in circuit.  I just don't know if I need the computer to use the equipment or change the setting to low so I can see the caps better at the moment they show as a short would.  Any help would be great as I am pretty new to this, but have a strong background in electronics.

Hi David,
Welcome to the Huntron Support Forum.
The 5100DS was a completely PC controlled Tracker. Without a PC you are pretty much stuck using the Med2 range.
You can find some additional info on the 5100DS on the FAQs page of the Huntron web site.

Thanks.
