Title: Sensoray 2250 error on new Workstation installation
Post by: admin on November 11, 2010, 09:19:08 AM
We have seen a couple of users have camera capture problems with their new Prober system installation. When trying to connect to the Prober (in Tools/Options/Hardware) with a 2250 frame grabber, a capture error (start stream) is displayed. Trying a reinstall of the Sensoray SDK software and the 2250 AV Capture driver (in the Device Manager) does not help.
The solution is one of two different things--

- Go to the Program Files/Sensoray/2250/API folder and copy ALL of the files
- Go to the Program Files/Huntron Workstation folder and paste all of the copied files there
- Restart the PC
- Try Huntron Workstation to see if the error still occurs... if no error, great! If yes, continue on...

- Go to the Sensoray web site at www.sensoray.com
- Browse to the Products/Video - Image Capture/Frame Grabbers page
- Locate and select the USB Model 2250 USB MPEG Frame Grabber link
- On the 2250 Product page, select the Software and Manuals tab
- At the bottom of the page, select and download the "Model 2250/2251 Windows SDK"
- Extract the downloaded ZIP file to your PC
- Run the 2250SDK installer
- Once the install is complete...
- Go to the Program Files/Sensoray/2250/API folder and copy ALL of the files
- Go to the Program Files/Huntron Workstation folder and paste all of the copied files there
- Restart the PC
- Start Huntron Workstation again and try connecting to the 2250 frame grabber (Tools/Options/Hardware tab). It should work now. No? Contact Huntron Tech Support.

We should have this issue taken care of in the software release.
Thanks.
