Title: WS 3.5.4 on Windows 7 Pro XP mode?
Post by: jvthorsley on September 27, 2012, 04:51:41 PM
Will Workstation 3.5.4 work in Windows 7 Pro in XP compatibility mode with a ProTrack upgraded to USB operation?

Not likely since the hardware drivers are 16bit.

I thought Windows XP was 32-bit. And Workstation 3.5.4 32-bit compatible. And my ProTrack is upgraded to USB communication.
Windows 95 & 98 is 16-bit operating system.
Windows XP is a 32-bit operating system, there is also a 64-bit Windows XP Professional version.
So surly Curtis Workstation 3.5.4 as 32-bit software should work with any operating system that can work in 32-bit mode?

Hmmm... old thread (I know) but I am not sure what I was thinking when said the above...

Anyway, the problem is that 3.5.4 is not compatible with Vista because of driver issues. To use a USB ProTrack in Vista you have to use Workstation 4.X.
