Huntron Access HF prober and Workstation software bring automated probing to Keysight oscilloscopes. Huntron has been producing Automated Circuit Probing equipment since 1991. The patented Huntron Access HF prober has probe rotation and spacing. The Click-n-Probe feature requires no test setup. Simply select the two probe locations with the camera, set the probes’ up and down positions and the probe makes connection to the test points.

In a typical application, two point measurements in HF circuits are dependent on the manual dexterity and interpretation of the operator. The position of the probes must be duplicated to achieve repeatable measurements. The Huntron Access HF eliminates errors in probe placement and the need for documentation that identifies the physical location of the probe points. When measuring points on your circuit card assembly (CCA), the Huntron Access HF uses a unique rotating head to place two pins on the test points. Using this method the ground can be placed close to the measurement point.

Testing with the Access HF system requires the CCA under test to be powered and in a functional state so measurements can be taken. The end user provides the PC, power supplies and control hardware based on their knowledge of the CCA and the measurements that need to be captured. The size of the Access HF provides plenty of space to allow for cabling and connections to be made to the CCA.
